Summary0010321: Accusation of vampires doesn't work (vampire doesn't attack, wrong accuser in legends)
DescriptionIf you accuse a vampire of being a vampir, the text-reaction is fitting. But nothing else happens. He doesn't attack you and he is still being viewed as a normal person by the townsfolk. You can talk to him in a normal manner, too.
If you kill him (i.e. you have to attack him), then you are blamed for being a murderer (not killer but murderer) and the townsfolk react to you as if you commited a normal murder of normal townspeople. They don't recognize the fact that you've slain a vampir (even if they could hear the accusation and the reaction of said vampire).

And now the real problem starts:
If you open legend mode and look for the vampire, there will be a message in his history that someone accused him of being a vampire and someone struck him down. The problem is: The one who accused him and the one who slew him aren't the same person.
To make things better: If you then look up who accused the vampire, you will see that said person is already dead (normally for some hundreds of years).

And to spice things up:
In legend mode there is listed that the vampire became an enemy of the current civ in which he was hiding upon accusation. The civ-changing mechanic is there - but in the game nobody recognizes this.

Therefore: It is impossible to accuse a vampire of being a vampire because
1. It isn't you who accuses him but some random guy who is already dead.
2. Nobody recognizes that the vampire was accused and that you slew a night creature.

This bug is present since 0.40.01.
Steps To ReproduceTry to accuse a vampire and slay him. Speak to the townsfolk.
Check legends mode.

Furthermore:
You will still get the quest to kill an already slain vampire. Even if you told the questgiver that you've killed him before he wants to give you this quest. If you press the subject and ask the questgiver about the location of your quest-vampire then he will say that he is already dead (surprise, surprise). But your killing doesn't solve the quest.

Ah yes, this beauty... I've also had toddlers get the credit.

But yes, vampires are bugged out to the wazoo. Goodness knows when the whole non-vampiric vampire-blood bug will get fixed. Has anyone made a report for that one?

Still happens in 0.44.03 . Got a quest to kill a vampire in the same hamlet the lord that gave the quest was. Killed him after accusing him. He yielded after my first attack but I killed him anyway as the quest asked for his killing. Afterwards, everyone in the village hate me and spit on me, even the lord when I told him I did the quest as he asked.

Someone asked in my thread about it (which i seem to be unable to reply to now) the worlds were made in 44.12 so its not a world from a previous version. To answer that question.

The vampire in question i tried to confront with my adventure was a previous adventurer of mine and i nicknamed them a expletive previously (because they keep killing my new adventurers even attacking my starting villages lol). My previous adventurer (one before the last one) attempted to confront them, but it credited the confrontation to a random bandit leader named mukca.

This one is slightly modded, the previous saves were not though and i think it has nothing to do with the bug.
