Summary | 0010411: Crash as soon as dwarfs arrive back from raiding/retrieving artifacts |
Description | I'm assuming other people have been having this problem but I thought I'd report.
I send out a squad to go raid or retrieve some artifacts and the game crashes as soon as they get back, doesn't matter where, I tried an empty fortress, some goblin pits, and then my dwarf neighbors to save some time (didn't really seem to make a difference though), crashed every time. I've been able to send my dwarfs out on missions on this same fort earlier, now it's just doing this.

Steps To Reproduce | Send squad out (preferably the captain of the guard, that's the one I was sending out) to retrieve artifact/pillage poor elves and then wait 10 minutes for them to get back. |

I had this too. I sent three squads on a raid, and they got spotted leaving. This put me at war with the goblin civ and the next time I went to raid with two squads the client crashed upon return: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmE8SBA9DRE&t=2h14m23s [^]
The only odd thing that happened was that during the raid, my militia commander's room/dining/office got unassigned automatically. I re-assigned them, but if he died during the raid then this may have caused the crash.

I've also been having this problem. It's effectively crippled the raid/retrieve artefact feature. It's way too common for me to risk anymore. Especially as sometimes they might return but some end up stuck travelling forever. |

v0.44.10: Looks like this was a raid duplicate equipment crash (0010369). From errorlog.txt:
Duplicate inventory removed: +dog leather backpack+ from Ubbul Koganturel, Swordsdwarf |
