0010802: Odd text in Legends Mode battle "The forced shifted"
In the save linked below, retire the fortress and open legends mode. If you check the site Conflictden and scroll down to the bottom, a battle is described.
Final entry is "In the early Spring of 233, the forced shifted, and the defenders had a strong positional advantage".

The...forced? shifted? I, don't know if that's just bad grammar and the Elven Force is doing something mysterious, or if it's just a glitch.
Exporting the XML and loading into Legends Viewer reveals just a blank for the beginning of that entry.

Don't know how to reproduce naturally though.
Modded world. Various raw changes. No "Forced" able to "shift" though.
No use of Dfhack.
Probable Quick Fix

Presumably "the forces shifted", that is, the (military groups) (maneuvered around the battlefield), leading to a change in positional advantage.

Oh. That might work. So just "force" being read incorrectly as a verb and conjugated then? Have you ever seen this message before? Result of the battle being very long or something. It's the last entry, so presumably after "shifting" the attackers gave up and went home.

This indeed looks like a typo in "the forces shifted". 'S' and 'D' keys are right next to each other on a keyboard :)

Yeah, probable quickfix. Two questions though.
1) Are the attackers and defenders ever referred to as "forces" anywhere else?
2) Shifted? It's still a bit grammatically clumsy. Who shifted? From where to where? Defenders shifted to a more defensible position seems better. Do locations actually have multiple choices for where to fight?
3) It seems that this report line is not exporting with the rest of the XML. While I know the XML dump is 'incomplete', the rest of the descriptions are exporting OK. (If it actually is exporting then it's likely just an error with Legends Viewer so not related to this bug report).

This is just a typo, from when neither side has a tactician chosen/alive.
