Summary | 0000111: Worldgenned roads blocked |
Description | Worldgenned road slopes tend to get blocked by floor tiles directly above them. The only way to continue is to go around and climb natural slopes. Turns out that the road on higher level continues for a while, hanging above the road below, thus blocking the passage from lower road. |
Steps To Reproduce | Travel along the road in adventure mode, preferably in places with different elevation. Sooner or later you should encounter a road slope that is blocked by floor tiles directly above. |

I've had the same issue, however when I travel around and up onto the raised portion of road, my adventure mode character leaves a trail of blood and gives a message along the lines of getting burnt. Looked around before death and didn't see a thing that would cause burn damage. :\ |
@jbrown: sounds like the adventurer melting bug.
@Mipe: I can confirm this bug, those bridges appear like that in Dwarf Mode too. |
I noticed this as well. Any bridge that tries to go diagonally will be broken. Any z level change like that leads to the bridge extending into midair.
I also encountered a top to bottom bridge near a dwarf fortress (Native) that extended straight out into midair and had a six level fall from the end.
Going around revealed the road surface extending underneath the bridges in question, with a single tile break near the ends of the bridge in some cases.
This is not to say that all bridges fail. I did find one bridge that crossed a valley rather prettily and properly. The main problems appear to be with diagonal bridges. |

Yeah I get this too, and hasn't seem to have changed in .31.10, it is kinda funny having so many bridges to nowhere, it makes you think the humans are clearly insane... or they can fly.
crazy humans, and I guess dwarves do it two, but that just means they're testing new ways to kill things. |
Its even worse with the dwarves. Still happens in .12 |

Reminder sent to: AO, Beeskee, Mipe Is this still occurring in 0.34.01? |

Some roads have dissapeared now from adventure mode, mostly in areas like mountains or connecting other civs like elven, dwarves that does not have an placeholder in place for their civ.
Will try to generate a new world where elves and dwarves uses human towns instead and see if that might solve anything. |
I did generate a new world where dwarves and elves used human towns. So far I've not encountered this bug again even when traveling on mountain roads. The roads and structures built inn such areas are a completely mess though. |
