Summary0000127: Muddy open space in magma pipe
DescriptionI found a magma pipe in a cave, halfway through the pipe there are a few squares called "muddy open space" which also contain a pile of mud.

There are about five of these tiles on a single level, and none on the other levels.

These tiles are filled with magma as usual.

Here is a save with "muddy open spaces" containing mud piles. You can find them above the cavern collapse which happens immediately after unpausing--that's bug 0000590.

Note at 0001339:0007159 mentions that plants can grow in these muddy open spaces, resulting in an instant cave-in.

I experienced this bug in a cavern layer 1 magma pipe at embark in a glacier area. Immediately upon seeing my wagon, I had a collapse notice, and stonesense confirms it occurred at the surface of the magma pipe and was only a single tile. No adventurer has ever been to this site, i.e. the site was "generated" when I embarked and has never been visited.

I've seen this hovering over the pipe as well (0.31.08.) I first noticed when building some floors over the top of the pipe; some of the floors were brown. A quick examination showed "Muddy Open Space" on some of the tiles above the pipe.

I can confirm the presence of a 'muddy open space' in a magma pipe as recently as 0.42.03. I believe that a block of silver and possibly a burning dwarf had passed through the space while falling through the magma. Then again, pools of sewer whiskey seem to appear when I try to install glass floors, so my expectations that this would be related is probably premature.
