Summary0001710: "Gather remains from outside" actually means "gather remains from above ground"
DescriptionSomething with the tags on vermin being taken to stockpiles is wrong. I have an outdoor building above my fortress that is 'Indoors' 'Light' 'Above Ground'. Yet it's full of remains now. The area is enclosed, and does have a ceiling. Yet dwarves will not haul the remains to the stockpile unless they are set to 'gather remains from outside'

Indoor remains ought to, I would think, behave as underground remains, creating the same miasma when they rot (which is known to be broken). And also be gathered as such (as I -think- they were in 40D). I could be wrong, however.
Steps To ReproduceCreate a walled enclosure with a ceiling above ground, and a doorway leading to it. Have cats. When vermin are killed inside, their corpses will clutter the indoor structure.

Its not actually indoors, its just misnamed like it always has been. Its above ground vs subterranean that is still the key.

Gather remains from outside is turned off by default so no remains will be gathered on any tile that has ever seen the sun unless you adjust that.

I don't see how that's misnamed. If I have an enclosed, above ground structure, it is quite 'indoors'.

Rationally, one would think remains inside an enclosed structure would behave just like the underground - producing the miasma 'stink' as they decayed.
