Note: my description appears to collide with another bug report.
While they are both pathing issues, in my bug, it is the beast which is pathing funny, not the dwarves

can you change the summary from
Roaming fun beast, easily distracted, unable to move out of coridor
to
Roaming fun beast is easily distracted and unable to move out of coridor

They may not be the exact same bug, but most of the notes at 0000362 seem to imply that the FB is stuck. 0001470 mentions FBs "camping a stairwell" -- did the FB gain access to the corridor via stairs? |

I think, 0000362 implies that even if the forgotten beast could fly, the odds of the beast reaching his dwarves are very very small.
Honestly both 0000362 ,0001470 I think both sound like the beasts have Ultra-powered wail attacks, striking fear into dwarves everywhere. Or psionic mind blasts distracting any dwarves.
My forgotten Hoary marmot is between my cavern and the main digging shaft, a 3x3 stairwell. He is in the connecting cooridor.
He apparently can't decide wether to go up the shaft and kill the goblin siege, or wether to head back into the cavern and kill a little doggy.
Playing through, the goblins attacked and killed the forgotten beast.
Then my fortress crumbled to its bitter end.(as expected)
My stair arrangement might be a bit funny, as the digging shaft opens up into an empty room, which contains another shaft up to my living quarters. From there, the living quarters open up to the three main shafts that go to the surface. |
