TO BACKUP SAVES:

"BACK UP" is two words.
The Manual (?) > Technical
It is spelled correctly a few lines later: "Please *DO* back up saves."

Actually either back up or backup are appropriate in this context I believe.

Phrasal verbs, such as this, are written as two words. "Backup" is the noun form.

If "backup" is a verb, does it look natural to write "backsup", "backedup", or "backingup"? Or do you say "backups", "backupped", and "backupping"? You can say either "back up the save" or "back the save up", implying it is two words. Furthermore, you can say "back it up" but not "back up it", so in some cases the words must be separated.

Finally, Toady himself also uses the two-word form, and being inconsistent is worse than being wrong.
