Summary | 0003643: Dead soldier's equipment bugs up |
Description | So yeah. After a soldier dies, most of his equipment becomes unusable. New soldiers that I assign don't pick up the dead guy's old equipment. I make new gauntlets for example, they pick them up. I forbid new gauntlets, they don't use the dead guy's ones at the stockpile.
Doesn't always happen. I had two dead soldiers, the other's equipment was used by his replacement but the other's equipment was and still is stuck on the stockpile. |
Steps To Reproduce | Armor several soldiers
Get them killed
Get the same number of replacement soldiers, watch some of them not pick up their share of the old armor/watch the equipment become unusable. |

Make some random dwarf soldier and give him gauntlets and boots. (the stockpile is in the barracks next to entrance. Save is very slightly modded by giving nerves a heal rate)
Repeat if there are spare armor pieces until they won't pick up certain ones. |

Actually, you can already see it there. The dwarf "ad2" is in the barracks without a left gauntlet, while a spare one from a dead soldier is lying in the stockpile next to him. |

I never encountered this bug with provided steps to reproduce, in multiple games starting from 31.25, but after loading 31.18 save in 31.18 I confirm that healthy soldier refuses to equip available gauntlet.
