Can confirm this. seems like the new grass came a little bugged. it'll grow on any soil, underground or aboveground.

By the time my farm was finished my soil parts of it had like 6-7 grass patches...

I'll confirm this. Note also that proper underground shrubs grow in the same areas, rather than aboveground shrubs.

Possibly this is to do with caverns being full of sand now, not mud.

There is also another problem with this. When the grass grows on underground soil, it turns the sand to unusable to sand-collecting. So, after enough time there is no way to gather sand without mining new spot for sand collecting, until the new area is also covered in sand.

Kipi: if you build a dirt road over the sand collection zone, the grass will be cleared away.

use a natural lawn mower (ie cow) to keep the grass clear on your sand collection sites, found that pretty useful as they eat a lot anyway

I'm not sure if this is related or not but I found a cavern full of above ground grass. No trees or shrubs of any kind. Just grass.

Lemunde: that would be 0004013.

Foot, I think you reopened the wrong report. This report is about non-generic grass growing in underground soils that are not-caves.

(Edit: Yes, 0004013 is the one you want.)
