DescriptionWhat it says on the tin.

Each bee in a hive has a value of 1☼. Not a problem.

The problem is theres some 10-12k bees in a hive.

That means 10-12k wealth from a hive.

Thats a problem.
Steps To Reproducestart a fort/ have a broker with you.

chop wood/mine stone

make hive

fill it.

have a look at the wealth amount.

I'm waiting for the graphic packs (phoebus or at a pinch, mike maydays) to get updated before I try out 0.31.19 but you should be able to fix this in the raws.
I think is caused by PETVALUE being a default of 1 if not specified.

In creature_insects.txt for the WORKER & DRONE castes try adding [PETVALUE:0]. If you wish you could give the QUEEN a [PETVALUE:500] (same as Elephant) so that beehives still contribute to created wealth but don't skyrocket it. Remember to do that for both bee types (Bumble & Honey).

Seems that setting [PETVALUE:0] didn't help...

might be that minimal value for anything pet is 1☼...

It seems that it gets worse - the bees get "double billed". They count towards your Other Objects wealth, and once installed into a hive, they also count towards your Displayed wealth. So those +/-10,000 honey bees do not add 10,000☼ to your wealth, but 20,000☼ plus the hive value.

did not help. Still 1 hive gives some 20000-30000 ☼

Unless this gets fixed soon I'm afraid beekeeping will be quite broken...
