Summary0000446: Crash when viewing merchants' "unknown plant substance" in depot
DescriptionWhile trading with the elves, the game crashes to desktop - but not immediately. It appears to be some item further down in the list. I can't tell which one, because it crashes.
Steps To ReproduceLoad game.
Go to depot and trade.
Page down twice.
*CRASH*

sounds like it could be connected to the bug I experienced, though the game didn't crash while I was in the process of trading.

So some goblins slaughtered all the elves in the next caravan and left their materials scattered all over the place.

Guess what! I now have crashes while viewing my Stock - but only when viewing in detail, and only one specific category. Barrels. And only two pages down from the start. It's something the elves had, because when I go over to their dead Donkey and go through its inventory, I also get a crash. Perfectly reproducable.

Confirmed that the save still crashes in 31.06. Looking at "liquid" in Stocks shows a "unknown plant substance [10]", but that doesn't cause a crash by itself.

This is most likely an index problem as there are 2 plant_standard files in the raw directory of this save. See 0001428.

You can see the problems in the stocks screen with almost any category involving plant material, being either blank with a quantity or "unknown plant substance", etc.

In 31.18, I am not, however, getting a crash when looking at any one particular item. The crash part was probably fixed with some of the material rewrites.
