0004577: Rust on Glazer skill isn't removed with practice, skill can't increase past Proficient
Glazer has failed to progress as a glazer. He has been stuck as Proficient Glazer (V Rusty) for ages, despite constantly glazing statues and jugs. The Rust does not go away, now does he progress.

Glazer actually has more miller points than glazer, so he is labeled as a miller, but I have named him "Busted Glazer" to point him out.

A quick test in Adventurer mode suggests that reactions only grant experience for each [PRODUCT] and do not grant experience for [IMPROVEMENT]s - it's possible that the same is true in Fortress mode.

I have reproduced it in version 31.25 as well. My glazer has not progressed beyond his starting immigrant skill. I have not modded reactions nor do I use a tileset.

Modding around with this, the problem seems to be that the IMPROVEMENT token does not register the SKILL token at all - I had a custom reaction that used MASONRY as the skill, and even though they were Legendary +5 in MASONRY, and always make either exceptional or masterwork goods from custom reactions, they would not have any quality modifiers for IMPROVEMENT token reactions in the raws.

Furthermore, IMPROVEMENT does not respect the number of reagents being improved - only the first reagent will be improved, regardless of number.

I see, I didn't see that one on the list, and I had this hit first in the search.

These should be the same bug, then, since I think it's just that IMPROVEMENT is flat-out decoupled from SKILL tokens.

This is still an issue in 0.40.14! I've only recently switched to glazed earthenware, but its annoying now :D

The bug still continues to live in version 42.06.
