Summary | 0000501: Military dwarfs drop equipment because traders have better |
Description | My soldiers are standing around doing Individual Combat Drills in their civvies. Checking Military->Equip->Pri/Assignments gives a list of things that the dwarven traders brought for trade.
Apparently the dwarfs have decided they're about to equip things that I don't own, so they've taken off all of their existing equipment in preparation.
Once the traders left, I had to reassign my dwarfs to their uniform for them to take stock again. I haven't experimented with other types of forbidden or inaccessible equipment.
(I currently have three military dwarfs, all assigned to the same off-duty squad). |

Er, sorry, summary was supposed to be something like "Military dwarfs drop equipment because traders have better". |
|
|
|
I should mention: this is in a small fortress with no arsenal dwarf (or ability to appoint one). I don't know if this happens in larger fortresses, or if it's even reproducible in small ones. |

Happened to me when my military dwarf was equipped with a copper battle axe and the traders brought a silver battle axe with them. |

ah! that explains that, then. |

I've fixed enough permutations of this bug that we can wait for a new report after 0.31.06. I've got caravan goods, all visitor goods (invader, merchant, etc.), and the equipment of immigrants that hasn't yet appeared on-screen (or briefly after they appear sometimes as well, depending on some things). |
