Summary | 0005140: False identity of vampire overrides nicknames |
Description | A nickname given to a vampire is ignored. The game interface still uses their false identity name.
That makes spotting vampires pretty easy. Nickname every dwarf, the one that keeps his old name is the bloodsucker. |

The Potash Maker Zaneg Mafollilum is a vampire. Try giving her a nickname - her name will stay Zaneg Mafollilum. |

Notes |
I wonder if this is due to the dwarf being a historical figure? |
I can nickname other historical figures.
I think that is because you change the vampire's actual name when you nickname them, not their false identity name. |
This also applies to custom profession names, and even granted titles, like "Chief Medical Dwarf". Which is a pity, since I wanted to call my resident vampire a "Dark Lord". |
I was able to set my current vampire's custom profession. But the nickname was an (un)dead giveaway. ;-) |
This should work for next time, for the nicknames, profession names, and position names. |
