Summary | 0006135: Vampire King/Queen can't be assigned room/items |
Description | Recently learned that the Queen of my particular civilization is a vampire. All well and good with plenty of fun beside. However, in the unit list where the current job is shown, the Queen is marked as "Tame", like the tag given to an animal (same color as animal "Tame" tag as well).
She cannot be given her exquisitely prepared room to wine and dine in, nor make use of the switch intended to throw her [accidentally of course] to her untimely demise 50 Z-levels below. Regicide not withstanding, I seem unable to interact with the Queen besides setting her Labor (which she doesn't carry out, of course). Her noble requirements remain unfulfilled as she doesn't appear on the list when attempting to assign beds/tables/chairs to her. In short, she's even more useless than your average noble and considerably less fun. |
Steps To Reproduce | Become the Mountainhome of a dwarven civilization that has a vampire for a monarch, I suppose. |

What is her actual race? Is she actually a Dwarf vampire, or is she a Human or some other race? |

Reminder sent to: Chosen One Is your monarch a dwarf vampire, or a non-dwarf vampire? |

Honestly can't tell. She has all of the stats like a dwarf, worships a dwarf god... She is "a medium-sized humanoid driven to cruelty by its evil nature". Seems to wear dwarf sized clothing. Doesn't say anything about being a sturdy creature with a fondness of drink, but that might just be a vampire thing?
In other particular method I can use to determine if its dwarf or not?
EDIT: Also, the character's name is Cerol Datanilun, which appears to use dwarven root words (looked up the compounds in adventure mode).

That's a goblin, then. Probably elevated from the faceless masses that migrated to a dwarven mountain home (hence the dwarven name and god), then later despoiled a temple and became queen, in whichever order. You could check in legends mode with a copy of your save game, but I'm pretty sure that'll work out this way. So I'll resolve this as a duplicate. |
