Summary | 0006481: Adamantine clothing wears out at same rate as cloth/leather
Description | In the earliest versions of Dwarf Fortress, adamantine clothing items were immune to wear, though dwarves also would not put them on to begin with (they were presumably intended for the Adventurers who visited too-deeped fortresses). In version 0.27, this distinction was lost, allowing ordinary dwarves to wear adamantine clothing and also causing adamantine clothing to wear out over the course of several years. Given the other properties of adamantine, it doesn't make much sense for them to wear out in this manner, and while the ability to make indestructible clothing for dwarves might seem overpowered, adamantine itself is overpowered and is balanced by its rarity (and the danger associated with collecting it).
