Summary0006519: Dwarves not equipping steel armor/weapons
DescriptionA group of dwarves I've named "the Royal Steel" (have not tested for other military)will not wear steel armor. I have checked for ownership of the armor (no one owned it), the armor has sat in the stockpile for several seasons, trying to select the individual pieces of armor through the equipment screen has them marked as red, turning off exact matches makes the dwarves wear iron armor/weapons instead. Setting to replace clothing does nothing but make the dwarves remove their clothing. The steel armor is in the same stockpile as the iron armor.

In the save file there is only 1 set of steel armor (i.e. 1 breastplate, 1 greaves, etc.) except for a few helms. The 1 set of steel armor is assigned to and being worn by a dwarf in a different squad (the commander of the Cloudy Glazes)(confirmed via stocks and via inventory screen).

NO BUGS OBSERVED. The dwarf from the other squad correctly upgrades to the better armor because she is on a "metal" armor assignment. If everyone else was on a "iron armor" assignment, then the steel armor would be free for assignment to the chosen squad.
