Summary0007576: Mouse control does not work on Windows 8
DescriptionMouse control does not seem to be working at all with DF 0.40 on Windows 8. 0.34.11 mouse control works and DF 0.40 Linux mouse control works. I have checked that it's enabled in the init.txt, but I get no response to mouse input in dwarf mode.
Steps To ReproduceRun DF2014 on Windows 8 and try to use the mouse.

Using Windows 8.1 and DF version 40.09, my mouse does work... sometimes. Literally it will work for one set of designate commands and then fail for the next set at times.

Interesting. Maximizing the window and then minimizing it again (so the window was the same size as before) fixes the issue permanently.

Maybe the issue occurs because I resize my DF window manually after launch, and it doesn't properly adjust the clickable area until maximize/minimize triggers?

Possibly a duplicate of http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=2837 [^] and unrelated to Win 8 (just coincidence)?
