0007911: [EDIBLE_RAW] seeds cannot be eaten in adventure mode
While dwarves do eat EDIBLE_RAW seeds raw in fortress mode, in adventure mode you can only lick them.

This doesn't come up very often in vanilla, as adventurers can only pick seed pods, and can't break them open to get at the seeds inside. You're only likely to find edible seeds in generated trade goods.
Mod plump helmet spawn to be edible raw.
Gen a new world.
Start a dwarven adventurer in a hillocks.
Find a bag with plump helmets in.
Eat a plump helmet.
Pick up the plump helmet spawn.
Attempt to eat the plump helmet spawn.
Find yourself licking it instead.

Only certain types of items can ever be considered edible raw, and seeds are not one of them.

There's also the issue that edible seeds won't be added to the "valid food items" list, so Dwarves wouldn't eat them in Fortress mode either.

There are plenty of seeds tagged [EDIBLE_RAW] in the raws, e.g. peanuts, bambara groundnuts, string beans.

This would seem to imply that seeds are supposed to be edible raw, and that their inability to be edible raw is a bug, not an expected behavior.
