0008068: Ranged weapons shoot much too rapidly
I moved save from 0.40.8, and dwarves begun to shoot on archery range so fast that I started to afraid that next party with goblins may end up not so well as always.
Move save from 0.40.08 to 0.40.09
I saved screenshots and backed up copy of save.
No tags attached.

Is Arena behavior different between versions? Does this only happen in saves that were moved from 0.40.08-, or does it happen in worlds generated in 0.40.09?

Can confirm this with a moved save (40.07 > 40.09). I had a number of marksdwarves stationed to attack a trapped forgotten beast with wooden arrows (raising marksdwarf skill) and they all exhausted their supplies within moments of me lowering the drawbridge that was blocking their line of sight. From what I could tell, they were firing at least as fast as they could walk.

Can confirm as well (with a moved save from 40.05 > 40.09)
I counted the frames to know how fast exactly they were firing.
Dwarf emptied a quiver of 25 bone bolts in just 250 frames. It looks like a dwarven machine gun.

It does happen in new worlds.

It is also no restricted to dwarfs or crossbows.
In my old world I now had a goblin attack with rapidly firing goblin crossbowmen and bowmen.
Title could be updated accordingly.
