Summary0008101: Dwarves cancel jobs and stop moving after being interrupted by giant kea
DescriptionA Giant Kea was injured by invading siege forces. Dwarves that spot this injured animal may cancel a job and then seem unable to do anything. I currently have 3 dwarves that have been thirsty for a while and are still standing in place, none of which should be able to currently see the injured Kea. About 8 of my 20 dwarves have been affected by this bug.
Steps To ReproduceI can't provide direct steps, but I can provide a save or 2. I think I had an entire season of play between the animal being injured and when I noticed problem.
Additional InformationSome modifications were used in the game. CAVE_ADAPT removed, dwarf speed speed enhanced, dwarf learning enhanced, dwarf stat limits enhanced, natural skills defined for dwarves.

What happens if you undo your mods in your save's raw folder?

Removing mods by replacing creature_standard with default had no effect on stuck dwarves.

Adding a meeting area had no effect on stuck dwarves.

With both the listed changes above another dwarf became stuck when canceling a harvest plants job.

Shorast, broker appears to be the dwarf that has been stuck the longest (drowsy, hungry, and dehydrated). That dwarf does periodically attempt to go have a drink, but cancels every time.

Additional saves from previous seasons can be supplied if they are deemed helpful. When I first found a stuck dwarf I thought it was caused by to something else and went back one season. The siege events that lead to the injured animal repeated (3 days into that season) and obviously after a full season of play lead to the same problem.

What are the exact cancellation messages?

Downloading the save would probably be a much better way to get the all the information you need rather than asking for it one piece at a time here.

As you should be able to deduce from these examples Momuz and Ustuth did not become stuck. I think Shorast was the first to become stuck and it happened shortly before the autosave for summer.

Will creating a burrow and set a burrow alert make them move again? I am encountering this quite frequently and I suppose they are 'overwhelmed' or so and then freeze in place. (Quite common behavior among creatures). Might be intended. (The freezing time is a bit too long nevertheless)
