Summary0008124: Images can portray events the creator shouldn't know about
DescriptionDwarves will portray events they have no knowledge of on artifacts. I had a dwarf go into a fey mood and create an artifact depicting the mortal wounding of a bat woman by a troglodyte in my fortress despite not having breached any cavern layers yet.

I'm pretty sure this is "expected behavior" for now - all the game knows is that the event happened at your fortress, and it doesn't care that it happened inside an unrevealed area.

Alright, I wasn't sure if this might be related to the other perception bugs or if it was just the current expected behavior.

@Footkerchief: Thanks. I think I have found this report before but today I was not able to find it again.

Can the category be changed to "Artistic Images (engravings etc)" here to reflect the change of summary, as it was confirmed not only for images of artifacts?

Yeah, engravings can do that too. For the in-game feel, well, artifact descriptions are also made when you look at them, not when the artifact itself is made, so they must be magic...
