Summary | 0008366: Dwarf gives water to self, bucket disappears |
Description | Dwarf with job 'Give Water' finds a bucket in an unassigned room, bucket is not in a stockpile. Dwarf takes water back to his own room, which is unshared. Dwarf receives the thought 'He gave someone water lately.' When checking inventory of dwarf, bucket is nowhere to be found, bucket was not dropped in the room, no furniture existed other than the bed to store the bucket in. |
Steps To Reproduce | Haven't had a chance to try and reproduce this one yet. |
Additional Information | I'm assuming that there was water in the bucket initially based on the thought the dwarf received. The fortress had plenty of booze, the dwarf was uninjured (except for having been in the sun recently and had about of Dizzy and Nausea). Dwarf was a legendary miner. |

Could you at least upload the save? Even if you can't reproduce it, it could still be looked at.
Also, you don't mention this, but did you check the stocks to see if theres any discrepancy? like you know you're supposed to have 20, but you have 19. |

What makes you think the bucket wasn't taken to a stockpile? |
|
|
|
smjjames - let me see if I can dig up the save. I didn't look at the stockpile count before the incident because I wasn't expecting the bucket to vanish. :)
Footkerchief: I'm convinced that the bucket wasn't taken to a stockpile because I followed the dwarf the entire time. When I saw the 'give water' task in the unit list when there were no wounded dwarves, I was curious to see what was up. After drinking the water, the dwarf went back to having 'No job' and headed toward the meeting area - no bucket in hand, no bucket on the floor. |

Two pieces of good news:
1) I found the save
2) The bucket didn't actually vanish. The rascal drank it while shifting z levels on a mudstone staircase and I totally didn't see him drop the bucket.
No bug here after all. |
