Summary | 0000858: Livestock strangely agressive. |
Description | After my carpenter failed to build a wall on the haunted tundra, a werewolf got in. As expected, all the dogs charge and all the dwarfs scattered. Unexpectedly, the livestock joined in the headlong attack. The bull I can understand, although his wrestling maneuvers were a bit odd, as per http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=373. [^] However, the cow and horses also attacked.
I seem to recall in previous versions benign livestock would flee from aggressive creatures, so I'm assuming this is not as intended. |
Steps To Reproduce | Embark in an area with dangerous wildlife, bring some cows\horses. If they attack, your livestock will fight back aggressively, rather than flee. |

I've had that occur as well. Who knew lambs were so dangerous? They also seem to break out into infighting every so often, but that actually makes some sense. |

yeah - I've had my livestock do some minor wrestling moves with other creatures in my farm - probably like in real life rutting or something like that. Normally the do a few wrestling moves then get away, but one time a yak held a stranglehold on a lamb till it died.
Perhaps the animals were cornered, and in that case it'd be intentional/expected. But if they were on an open field, saw the werewolf, and jumped in, keep those horses and throw them in the military. |

As all the morale system changed, this doesn't happen anymore. |
