Summary0008819: Milk buckets being stored in barrels
DescriptionStockpile is supposed to store milk but my hauler just put the entire bucket (with the milk still in it) in the barrel. Also, it also shows milk in the barrel which has to be a bug since that is one too much.
By the way...the hauling job showed the barrel and the bucket as the item to be stored (same as barrel and plant). Not sure if that is normal since the milk is in the bucket...

This also happens with lye, which makes it unusable until the buckets are removed from the barrels.

What's funny is that by my memory, this was screwed all the way back in v0.31 but was fixed and worked fine during the version 0.34 cycle. It must be something pretty recent that broke this again.

Just as a side note: if you forbid all other milk and tell your dwarves to make cheese, they will take the entire bucket out of the barrel and make cheese with the milk that's inside of it.

v0.43.05x32: Milk is correctly removed from buckets when placed in a barrel. Presumably this bug was fixed along with the related issue for lye buckets (0008660) in v0.42.01.
