They weren't safe in my save. In fact, they kept dying, and were replaced almost the instant they died, leading to a mass slaughtering of artists that numbered in the hundreds. |

I think the interaction is off, and it could be due to the status of the civilizations. For some reason when the goblins were peaceful with everyone and then it all went to hell, I can attach a save world of where this situation was happening. |

Were those siegers affected by 0004552, "Siegers waiting by bodies of dead leaders"? According to 0004552:0033498 that can cause them to ignore guests.
By the way, http://dffd.bay12games.com/ [^] is the recommended site for storing of DF related files. |

At the point of the siege there had been very VERY few casualties by the attacking army due to me not having any defenses or army so I do not believe that this id the 0004552 bug |

I've actually noticed that a lot of previously hostile creatures aren't as deadly as they used to be. Killing a GCS is no trouble at all now, for instance, whereas before it would be a massive undertaking. Hostile behavior seems screwy in general, whereas undead (like I was facing) seem to still work just fine. |

I was having this occur, I'll try to save again the next time it occurs during a siege so we can have a reproducability. |
