Summary | 0009322: Death from sudden brawl/loyalty cascade is not reported as a crime |
Description | This save has a furnace operator that's been killed in a brawl between 5-7 dwarves, the reason for the brawl is unknown since dwarves don't state the reason why they're charging other people. I do know though that nobody's bothered to report the crime to the captain of the guard. I'm not sure if the reason for this brawl is intended as a feature, (I doubt it) but I do know for sure that something like this should be reported as a crime. I'll be reverting to a previous save to see if it happens again.

Steps To Reproduce | |
Additional Information | If there's any issues regarding spontaneous loyalty cascades that are similar to what's happened here, please point me in that direction so I can contribute my save as well. I'm not convinced this is intended behavior, but I might be mistaken. |

Sounds like a stronger version of general 0009286, "Fistfights don't count as crimes". |

Yeah, sounds like it. So far I haven't actually had any fistfights that I've noticed, but come to think of it I have seen weird behavior like animals attacking their own kind, I saw two goblins of the same faction (completely same faction) charge at each other out of the blue.
I didn't think anything of it at the time, but it does seem to be something that happens and thankfully there's no consequences for it. (otherwise a goblin siege would just burn itself out with the goblins and trolls killing themselves)
Seems to be related at least. This for sure is a big issue for me though, it would really bother me if there was a justice system going unused because of an annoying bug. (or series of bugs)

I had a tantrum illicit punishment on the justice screen, but then that tantrum exploded into a complete war.
This bug is quickly making the game unplayable, I can't isolate troublemakers effectively without a functioning justice system. |

Just had this happen to me in 42.06.
It seems that a bard got a little too drunk, and started a brawl with someone. I say brawl, but it doesn't seem the game is actually using the brawl conflict level. The citizens of the fort just see a faction digression (caused by the bard's "attack"), and resort to fully-fledged no quarter combat. It also seems that the citizens of the fort will just choose sides at random - resulting in the loyalty cascade. Certainly not intended. |

I just had this problem and it might be related or a new bug, but a similar brawl began after a goblins seige was announced. All of the hostiles were visitors and as far as I could tell unrelated to eachother (visiting human bard and visiting marksdwarf in seperate inns). It may also be relevant tht I did an immediate Save/Load after the seige was announced so it's possible that the reload with hostlie attackers on screen is the source of the problem. |

Can confirm this in .42.06 |
