Summary | 0009688: Insane child costantly attempting make believe = huge job cancellation spam |
Description | I had a child fail a mood in fortress mode, which resulted in insanity. Later on, I began to receive constant messages of the child failing to pick up equipment, being too insane. The child had "Play make believe" listed as his current job, and he just stood in one spot until death from dehydration. The child had wandered quite far away from the workshop he had claimed, so the make believe-attempt didn't begin immediately after going insane. The job cancellation spam was constant and made it easy to miss more important messages. |

I had the same issue (the bugger wanted shells, which were impossible to get before insanity struck), although its high speed repeat failed job was to pick up clothing. In my case the version was 0.42.05 (I dare not face the masterworks trading bug). |

I had the same issue in 0.43.02. The alert was popping up more than once a second. Luckily all the alerts stacked into one in the alert list.

@manghoti: it would be good if you stated the version you saw the problem in. |

Saw this happen on a livestream, only solution was to use the exterminate command with DFhack to kill the child, or else the spam was unbearable. |
