0009958: Dwarven trade caravan reaches fortress entrance, leaves before unloading at depot
In my current fortress, the dwarven caravan has reached the entrance to my fortress but immediately turned around instead of entering and unloading goods. Path to the trade depot is clear. This has happened the last couple of arrivals. The humans and elves have not had similar issues.

They appear to turn around as they reach the ramp down to the trade depot, which has a retractable bridge that can cover it. When this happens, the bridge is open.

Above the ramp. Retractable bridge covers the open space and down ramp. Fortifications on the far side.

The first cart in the caravan reaches the downward ramp, stops, and the whole caravan immediately turns around and leaves.

Other notes: this game has previously lost multiple caravans to carts disappearing after getting stuck on walls. The fortress is currently the mountain home, but the outpost liason was killed a couple years ago.

Relevant info: if any "merchant" in a caravan dies, the entire caravan immediately turns around and leaves.

Most likely a morale issue (0007185). Check for deceased sentient body parts (e.g. teeth) within line-of-sight of the place where the caravan turned around.
