0009988: Random Magma While Digging
Whilst preparing to dig into my new home, I happened upon some red stuff that looked like sand. Much to my surprise and dismay, when I hovered over the stuff, the description was 'Magma'.

A dwarf promptly ran over and cleaned it up, I guess, because they stood over it for a few seconds, then left, and it was gone ( and they weren't burning to death ).
Open save file. Designate digging into the side of the mountain ( It's a very small mountain but is also very steep, located to the east of the embarkment site ). Designate digging one tile in, then dig ramps ( This is what I'm doing ). I haven't tried to reproduce it yet but it does happen with notable consistency.

Maybe it was molten omnistone? I haven't really dealt with raws mods so if it's a stupid idea, I'd believe it.

(edited on: 2016-09-02 15:40)
Remark: your "omnistone" material is leaving nearly all of its special properties undefined/defaulted, which you need to fix by starting with a material template (e.g. [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:STONE_TEMPLATE]) or by specifying all of them manually (see Raw Adamantine from vanilla raws); this might be responsible for the problem you're observing.

Just looked at your save, and you have two copies of inorganic_stone_mineral in your raws, resulting in a large number of duplicate materials (check your errorlog.txt) and likely placing generic "stone" in the world (which immediately melts into magma when mined).
