Summary | 0009996: Salt water flooding from rooms with no water source in retired fortress when visited in Adventure mode. |
Description | When I started an adventurer in a fortress I had retired, water was flowing through the doors from several rooms that had no water source. This flooded most of the fortress. When I retired the adventurer and reclaimed the fortress, the flooding continued.
One of the flooding source rooms was the library, and the other the temple.
The was also some non-flowing water in odd places that didn't seem to be in the path of the flood. |
Steps To Reproduce | Begin Adventure mode in a retired fortress. |
Additional Information | A few of the times I backed up my save I accidentally left the game running at the start screen. I've read that this can cause some segfaults. I'm not sure if it could have caused this. I did not notice any other unreported bugs.

This may be related to 0005872, which 0009857 is a duplicate of. Dunno, though. The fortress didn't contain rooms dug underneath standing saltwater, did it?

I just had something similar happen; yes, the fortress was built underneath some standing ocean, but when digging, there was no "damp stone" so there shouldn't have been any flooding. |

It's looks like have something to do with water source mechanics in adventure mode. Probably ocean tiles continue to act as water source even if they have no water.
I had a similar bug: I dug a fortress in north pole frozen ocean and when visited it with adventurer found just an ice when fortress enterence supposed to be. Not-underground structures (like ice walls) was ok.
