Summary | 0002437: Immobilized injured dwarfs are not rescued if not unconscious
Description | http://rghost.net/1962542 [^] go to F3 hotkey, there is miner with 'No job' in dorm. If dwarf is unable to walk on his own, but does not fall unconscious, he will lie on same place with 'No job', and noone will bother to carry him to hospital or give him water/food.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Break someone's leg 2. If he falls unconscious and is rescued, remove his bed so he stops resting. 3. Once he is not unconscious, he will stick to 'No job' and slowly die of starvation.

I don't think that this is necessarily a child of 0000681. That bug is about doctors never assigning crutches during treatment. This bug is about legless dwarfs who never get to the hospital in the first place, since they can't walk there and are never rescued. The only save I have that might help for this is http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2638 [^] (a soldier named Bomrek, in the microcline bedrooms to the northeast of the starting cursor. He's under a dog). But I suspect that that might be bug 0002585 instead. A save with a purer case of this would be helpful. |

> A save with a purer case of this would be helpful. The one I included in the report should be sufficient. Altho it could already expire on that filehosting, will re-upload to my server tomorrow |

I think I just had a similar case in my 31.16 fortress. A weaver got his foot stabbed by Unicorn; red injury. The weaver passed out. When he gained consciousness, he was slowly moving toward the fortress. But then his wound changed from red to bright yellow (still on the way to the hospital, before diagnosis). Since then he just lied on the place with No Job tag, being completly ignored by the rest of the dwarvenfolk till he died of thirst. |

I couldn't get this to reproduce, but hopefully the surrounding issues are resolved. |
