Summary | 0008987: Dwarves continue to use stepladders to attempt picking fruit after zone removed and trees cut down |
Description | At the start of an embark, I set up one of these newfangled fruit-picking zones, mostly just to try the thing out. After a while, however, I was ready to start creating a "greenhouse" that was more protected, so I deleted the zone that was sitting over the area I was walling in and preparing to channel.
My plant gatherer dwarves, however, were having none of that, and steadfastly continued to bring stepladders into the area I had cordoned off, and trying to climb stepladders to pick fruit from trees I had already chopped down. |
Steps To Reproduce | http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10917 [^] - Autumnal seasonal save of my first year in the fort where I noticed this behavior.
What seems to trigger the behavior, however, is deleting the zone before deactivating or removing the fruit-picking behavior. |
Additional Information | I was forced for a while to just plain forbid the stepladders to get the dwarves to step down from them, and/or disable plant gathering.
I only managed to correct this behavior for good by designating a new area for fruit picking, and then disabling the fruit-picking action in the zone options, THEN deleting the zone. Simply deleting the zone, itself, resulted in the continued attempts at picking fruit from non-existent trees. |
