Summary0010055: PRINT_MODE:TEXT completely ignores colors.txt
DescriptionChanging the color values have no effect on TEXT mode, despite the ability of almost all modern terminals to render 256 colors (more than enough for dwarf fortress).

This, combined with issue 0010054, conspire to make PRINT_MODE:TEXT unusable on OS X. And combined with 0009762 and 0010052 mean there is literally no Dwarf Fortress mode for OS X that's usable in fullscreen, nor is there any hack to make any of them usable.

See my response to 0010054 for the original color issue. As for supporting 256 colors in PRINT_MODE:TEXT, I would say that's a feature request, since DF only uses 16 colors currently, and most terminal emulators let you reassign those. (I'm also not sure what the state of ncurses' 256-color support is on most distros, although I'd like to think it's widespread enough.)
