Summary | 0003824: After disbanding, military dwarves won't put their civilian clothing back on |
Description | When you draft a dwarf and assign them an uniform, they will drop all clothing items that conflict with it - usually gloves, mitten, shoes etc. - and will wear the armor instead. So far so good.
However once you remove them from the military, they will drop the armour as expected, but won't pick up the gloves, mittens, shoes etc. again.
This results in barefoot dwarves running around the fortress while the player can do nothing to prevent it (aside from drafting them again), which can lead to some hilarity when combined with other bugs, eg. 0002044.
I can't be sure they'll NEVER put the clothes back, but it certainly is of extremely low priority, seeing as the dwarves are happy to be barefoot even months or years after leaving military. |
Steps To Reproduce | Embark with a full set of metal armour, draft a dwarf using the armour, wait until they pick all the items and watch as they drop their old shoes, then undraft them and watch how they never put the shoes back on. |
