Summary | 0004217: Adventurer Stuck in Pool, Can't travel because of non-existent boogeymen
Description | After a very nice night-time chase (see reproduce steps), my adventurer dodged into an empty murky pool. I thought this was the end, but he killed the immediate two boogey-men, only to not have any more show up. So... he can't climb out, nor can he sleep or travel because of the theoretical boogey-men hanging around.... Save attached http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3962 [^]
Steps To Reproduce | This might take a little creativity and luck. The way this happened was i was running from some boogey-men, then one of them charged me, i landed into the pool, killed the two nearby, then no more came. The poor adventurer can't climb out of the pool, nor can he travel because 'you are still surrounded by cackling'

Oh, it is possible to get out of this if one is extremely patient (or tapes some keys on his keyboard down) This adventurer just paced back and forth inside that small hole until dawn, then could get out when the cackling faded. |

Very likely that there were bogeyman 1 z-level up. I do not believe this is a bug, as you can still 't'hrow items at them. |

Marking this for review in the next version in case pools received the same treatment as rivers: "The rivers have ramps now, so you can get in and out of them, and the water is generally a bit more accessible." http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/index.html#2011-12-11 [^] The not traveling while creatures are near is most likely working as intended, you just couldn't see 'em. |

This can be closed. Since pools have ramps, this can no longer happen, right? |

Yep. Any remaining buggy aspects are covered in 0003690. |
