Summary | 0004223: Dwarves don't "split" bee hives, only use wild ones |
Description | Aside from the other issues with installing a new colony in a hive, I also noticed that my dwarves never seem to split an existing colony for installation in a new hive. The hives are set to forbid gathering their products and show as ready to be split. When I place a new hive or gather products from an existing one, though, the dwarf will invariably run off to find a "wild" colony to use. My "domestic" ones are never used for this, even if there is no way to path to a "wild" colony. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Have a mature bee hive that shows as ready to be split.
2. Place a new hive or gather the products from a second existing one.
3. Optionally: block the beekeepers' path out of the fort, they'll just stand there spamming job cancellations instead of using the perfectly fine mature hive to (re)populate the second one. |
