This is happening on every new fort I start. For the life of me I cannot find anything in common with the saves other than I'm using advanced world generation settings. I've adjusted them but to no avail. The settings mainly adjust cavern openness/passage density, mineral scarcity, site caps and end years.

I haven't tried running a game with default settings so I'll give that a try to see if it makes any difference.

Used completely default map settings, still getting a crash. Someone on the forum said that after their game randomly crashed all of their saves started crashing, even new ones. I don't see how this is possible but it's worth testing on a fresh install. I'll see what happens.
