|Summary||0007588: Social skill gains by attending parties is off the charts|
|Description||In a glacier embark with a lot of waiting the jobless dwarfs (a lot of fishers and such) started one party after another, 8 in total.|
Now almost all members of the migration waves (2nd and 3rd) arriving at that time have their social skills trained to at least 14 within less than a year.
Couldn't find any previous indication of such a behaviour by searching the web.
It's not a big issue, but the speed of those gains seems unbalanced compatered to that of "normal" skills.
I will upload my save and a screenshot of the skill levels.
|Steps To Reproduce||Probably have a bunch of partymaking dwarfs let do exactly that and see what happens|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
here is the save and the screenshot
|Yeah, there are a lot of issues with rapid skill gain in 40.x so far. It makes it hard to spot vampires when you have 7 legendary comedians in the second year!|
>It makes it hard to spot vampires when you have 7 legendary comedians in the second year!
Especially if their kind of humor involves sucking the blood out of dwarves.
Does this maybe have anything to do with the speed rewrite? So, dwarves would finish one "tell funny joke" (or mining, building, etc) action faster and thus gained more experience in the same time?
|Yeah, this is definitely related to some other issues that I can't find at the moment.|

This and the related skills report are both probably timing related issues that weren't adjusted for the speed split.
