|Summary||0007764: After town insurrection, all shops become taverns|
|Description||I actually observed this before, but wasn't really sure what happened since I thought the place had sort of become something like Port Royale (that pirate base) or Mos Espa, however, this time I observed it firsthand.|
In the main save (I created a copy of the save before I saved again to get a picture of the town pre-insurrection), I had arrived, walked around, killed a few reptilemen criminals beating people up and I did notice that something seemed to be going on, but I assumed that it was because of vampires or animalmen criminals running around.
This might be difficult to reproduce from the save and it has to be caught in the action because I tried going from the pre-insurrection save and tried resting and waiting and the insurrection didn't seem to happen. Walking around the town might help, but this part is really random.
I did leave the town at one point, but I don't know if there was an insurrection at that time or not. I had slept in the town and suddenly the insurrection had happened.
|Steps To Reproduce||1. Find a town.|
2. Hope there is an insurrection going on. Give the insurrection an assist if you have to by killing the leaders in the keep. I didn't know there was an insurrection going on until after it happened.
3. Hope the insurrection goes through.
4. The change may be instant or maybe you have to sleep, I'm not sure whether it's neccesary to sleep.

WHoop, could someone remove the '(and houses?)' part as houses aren't affected.
Added the intentional/expected tag in case this is supposed to happen.

|There seems to be something more screwy with the save. According to legends mode, the insurrection went against a site government, but it ended with a religion being overthrown, though the religion did seem to have become a site government somehow...|

Yeah, I heard nothing about an insurrection before hand and the last time I observed it, there actually was an ongoing insurrection, gave it a helping hand, and bam, had the same thing.
There were also lots of night creatures (including two night trolls) and animalman crime bosses running riot at the same time, though the two night trolls I had encountered after the insurrection.
There was also this wierd flashing zombie beakdog which I encountered and slayed earlier, though the second run through, I didn't encounter it outside the city and instead encountered it inside the city later.
I think I'll check out that beak dog since it was a wierd thing.
Edit: As for the beak dog, apparently it is a beak dog from a reanimating biome that decided to take up residence in the sewers of that town.

It happened again after I overthrew the government of a small town, went to raid some nearby tombs, and when I came back, I saw that it had reverted to this state with empty markets and all shops being taverns. I even made a random planter a hearthperson.
One person did say there was an insurrection or two brewing before I left, but I figured that I'd just kill whoever decided to take over when I returned.

Could someone change the severity to major? Because it's a pretty gamebreaking bug.
edit3: Legends only says that an insurrection had begun against me, but didn't succeed yet. I retired my adventurer there and am going to see what happens with it. Edit4: Apparently my old adventurer waited it out. Going to make a new world and take over a town to see if it still happens.
Would be nice if someone else was able to confirm it happening in their game.

Okay, I made a new world and here are two new saves:

Things I tried:
Waiting around in the town site and slept the night: didn't trigger.
Left site via fast travel, didn't visit another site, returned, didn't sleep: Didn't trigger.
Left site via fast travel, slept the night, returned: Triggered
Walked out normally, huh, the shop signs disappeared already. Also saw a kobold priest at the temple (don't know if he was there earlier. When I came back (still travelling normally), the markets were empty and the shops had reverted.
Edit: The kobold is apparently one that decided to adopt elven culture (it's an elven occupied town) and is worshipping a human god though. Theres a few other similar kobolds, from what I can see in legendsviewer.
Still seeing this in 40.08, whether or not it's an insurrection that you led or it's an insurrection done by the NPCs.
