Summary0011524: Dwarves will eat at chairs with no tables when dining room is present, then complain
DescriptionI built a nice dining room/tavern with tables/chairs...the usual.

I also have a handful of guildhalls that I placed chairs in w/o tables.
Sometimes my dwarves will eat at these chairs then complain about eating without a chair, Causing bad thoughts

I think this is a designed game mechanics. Chairs never should stand alone without a table. Though, you can put tables alone in hospital.

This has been in the game since the early days and, as I recall, acknowledged by Toady, who did indeed say "don't have chairs without tables". While I'd like to have chairs as benches, personally, I understand that it's just a design decision, and thus this falls into the category of "suggestions" rather than "bug reports".
