Summary0001497: Wound dressers are not doctors
DescriptionNot sure if this is a bug, but dwarves with "Wound Dresser" as their highest skill are not classified as doctors.
Steps To ReproduceDuring embark, give a dwarf Proficient Wound Dresser skill and no other skills, and give another dwarf sufficient social skills to guarantee that the wound dresser does not become expedition leader. The wound dresser will show up as a Peasant rather than a Doctor.

No, there's no connection.

This may have been a deliberate choice -- it was planned for this release that soldiers would bandage wounds on the battlefield (although I don't think that made it in), so maybe he didn't want to them to get marked as doctors. It may be an actual bug though, I'm not sure.

Can confirm it is present in v0.40.09

Dwarf with only wound dresser skill is listed as a peasant

Yeah, I remember this was intentional at the time. I'm not sure how it'll turn out later, but I'm going to close this one.
