0001595: Workshop profile min/max skill level setting is off by more than one
I'm sure it's the same as issue 0001294, but when I tried the displayed settings are off by a lot. My "accomplished" weaponsmith uses the forge just fine when no limits are set or when the forge is assigned to him. He wouldn't touch it if the skill level limit is set to at least "competent". I guess it's not a simple issue of "at least" vs "greater than".
I'm sure this has been around before 0.31.
Sorry to make a similar post, but seems like the nature of the problem isn't that simple.

You aren't using burrows, or mixing up min/max, are you?

Yeah, was the "competent" skill level the minimum or the maximum?

^^^ Any answers to the above questions? Is anyone able to reproduce this?

I've seen this in 31.03. I'm not able to figure it out myself. It doesn't seem like its just off by one. Its very hit or miss, either allowing everyone to use the workshop or no one to use the workshop.

Assigning individual dwarves to the workshop using the profile works fine, just not skill levels. The skill levels all seem to be +/- random amounts.

I have a magma forge. My Talented metalsmith goes to create a platinum statue only when the minimum is set to "Competent", not "Skilled". But my Talented metalcrafter went to create silver crafts on the same forge only when the minimum was lowered to "Novice"!

I have a similar problem with a Legendary Armorsmith. I cannot get him to use my magma forge if there are ANY skill level restrictions set on it. He will only use it if it is open to all skills. He will use the forge just fine if I restrict it to him specifically.
