0002548: Forgotten beasts made of mud have wrong material state
According to its description, the forgotten Beast I killed was made of mud, but when I killed it, the body part said "[Forgotten Beast's name]'s .". Both parts are named the same thing, and according to the description window, both body parts don't have a value tied to their name, and the weight is less than 1 unit. There is also no material name for the creature's blood. It, too, is labeled "A pool of ."
Since this is a randomly generated beast, I'd say there's an issue somewhere in the raw files regarding mud or using odd materials to compose a creature.

Any updates? Had you done any modding? Do you have a save that demonstrates the problem in 31.10?

I don't have a save. Next time this anomaly occurs, I'll upload a save onto here.

There is no substantial modding, nothing that would have added materials to the raws, anyways. I only modded the speed of the Dwarves, altered settings in the init file, and removed the aquifer tags from soil layers.

I have a save here. It is also a mud beast, and turned into this non-named body part upon being attacked. The combat report is one swing of an axe.

The only modding I did is to add [SHELL] to hoofs and horns for moods.

I had the same problem happen with a forgotten beast made out of mud. No modifications, using version 31.12

Quietust's note from 0003692:0014061:

Looking at the creature's raws (extracted from world.dat), this appears to be due to it using the combination of [TISSUE_MATERIAL:MUD] and [TISSUE_MAT_STATE:LIQUID], something which is technically impossible.

I just experienced this same problem on 0.40.2. It was a forgotten beast which was a blob composed of mud. After it was dead, it left behind a "pool of ", and a "Bora Donu Tega's". The second seems to be the mortal remains of the foul beast.

It should generate them correctly now, but old saves from 0.40.05- will still have the incorrect definitions inside of them.
