0004500: Tropical Lakes always empty; Murky Ponds odd
I noticed that ponds and tropical lakes don't always have fish. I've noticed that tropical lakes *never* have fish.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4191 [^]

That save is in a Hot tropical; mussels, and only mussels, are being fished from the brook. Both the ponds and the lake do not have any fish.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4192 [^]

That save is in a temperate biome with no fish in the ponds; there are fish in both the lake and the stream.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4193 [^]

That save is in a tropical (warm) biome. Ponds and river are producing mussels; lake is empty.
Embark on a tropical lake; designate lake as fishing zone. No fish will be available in the lake.
Tropical lakes *never* have fish. Tropical brooks and streams only seem to produce mussels or turtles.

Tropical oceans are producing fish properly. Temperate lakes, rivers, and oceans yield a variety of fish as well.

I don't know if this is related to either 0002015 or 0002019, or if it's something else altogether. Ponds are definitely wonky.

Might be related to 0004493, where ponds (murky pools) in non-island worlds never contain turtles.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4194 [^]

This world was generated with the advanced world gen's "Medium Island" with no changes to it. The murky pools and the lake are devoid of fish/life.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4195 [^]

This save, a default "Medium Region", has at least one biome with pools that do generate turtles/mussels and at least one biome with pools that do not. There are three biomes total.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4196 [^]

This save, in the same "Medium Region" world as the previous, is in a temperate area across four biomes, one of which freezes during the winter (it started frozen, then later thawed.) All of the pools across all of the biomes are yielding turtles.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4198 [^]

This save, a third embark from that same world, is in a temperate (warm) area, across three biomes. No pools here yield anything.

There definitely is a relation, but not because there's a difference between "Islands" and "Regions". I'm pretty sure that the first three saves presented are of three different worlds, two of which are "islands" and one a "region".

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4200 [^]

There's a world that has absolutely no oceans in it (min elevation is 100), which I suppose makes it a "Region" world, where the river is producing mussels and the pool is producing turtles. (But yet again the tropical lake is void of life.) Lots of saves to work with. :P

The worldgen/embark I posted for 0004458 has the same issue. (Started playing a fort a little bit further south to avoid the glitched spot.)

Hot/scorching biome. Lake and top-right are supposedly scorching, bottom-left is just hot.

Nothing in the lake. Murky pools are always dry. Nothing but mussels in the river. Nothing in the underground pool, either, but that's 0004505 or an older duplicate of it. This is consistent with the first example.
