Summary0005912: Workshops with linked stockpile(s) will only look in those stockpiles for materials/reagents
DescriptionChecked around on mantis a bit, I think this has not yet been reported. If it was, I apologize.

Anyways: As the title says. I have a smelter (non-magma), stone stockpile and a bunch of galena&platinum nuggets on stockpile or just laying around. I wanted to start smelting, but said ores were marked red in smelter options, just as if they were not yet mined out. I used "give to workshop" option on said stone stockpile and linked it to smelter, so I thought the problem was because common stone was enabled in stockpile's options too. So I deleted the link and linked another, metal ores only stockpile to smelter. Same story. Just for the sake of it, I tried linking wood and food stockpiles to smelter - the same again. It doesn't matter if stockpile is full or empty.
Smelter functions normally if I remove all the links to it.
Ores will be taken from stockpile to smelter regardless if said stockpile has links to other workshops (in my case - mason's and mechanic's).
Steps To Reproduce- have a smelter
- have some ore you would like to smelt
- create a stone stockpile, could be metal-only
- link said stockpile to smelter
- try to smelt some ore

When a stockpile is linked to a workshop, the workshop will only look in its links for materials. For smelters, this includes fuel. So if you want to link up a smelter to stone, you'll need to link the fuel too (I tested it out and was able to smelt once I had both links up). I'm not sure if that should be changed or not. It might have to look at the kinds of stockpiles that are linked to determine the restrictions or something.

Ah, that makes sense actually. I am still getting used to the new stockpile system and naturally I forgot about the fuel. I've enabled coal bars on one of the stone stockpiles containing galena, linked it to smelter and as soon as there was one bar of charcoal present on the stockpile, all reactions were available.

This "bug" can then be marked as solved. Thanks for the reply.
