Was this a fort in a newly generated world? If you have old forts maybe some nut-job from an older abandoned fort crawled out of the rubble to find you again.
Do you happen to have a save of the fort before or during a migrant wave with a crazy in it? |

It happened in my fort after insane dwarf migrated from previous fort. IMHO obviously expected and I hope that historical migrants may also arrive insane. |

Yes this was a newly generated world, so it wasn't from an old fort. As for it being expected that seems strange to me. They don't eat, don't drink, so why would they pursue me rather than dying in the old fort? Then again...they are insane.. |

And no, I stupidly didn't copy the save before I wiped it to use the newer version. If it happens again, I won't be so careless. |

I'm getting a lot of melancholic, babbling and just miserable dwarves from prior forts at the moment, and I think ideally the game should probably not have them travel halfway across the world, fighting bogeymen at every turn, only to starve to death in my fort. Or, in some cases, throw a tantrum and kick down the trade depot. :P |
