0007724: House treated as tavern, has tavern sign out front
While travelling through a town the map said that there was a tavern. Stopping there, I saw a building with a tavern sign out front, but going inside it seemed just like a house.

An example save file is at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9201 [^]

In this save you start out inside one of the houses in question. There is another such tavern/house in front of the town's keep.

Is there anything to indicate it's a house other than the building size?

Houses and taverns look pretty much the same at the moment, as far as I know. I'm not sure this is a bug.

1) There's only one occupant, in the back room. He's a priest.

2) In the back room there's two pieces of furniture, a chest/cabinet containing owned coins, and a bag containing non-owned produce.

3) There absolutely nothing else in there.

So, seems like a house to me.

The other indicated tavern near the keep is structured the same as the supposed not-tavern: empty front and middle room, and in the back room a chest, some bags, and a person.

It's pretty suspicious that neither tavern has tables, chairs, or beds (based on the one time I ventured into a tavern myself), though it's not a surprising occurrence. I don't see any indication that either tavern could only be a house in disguise, instead of simply very-poorly-furnished taverns.

What does Legends say about the building?

In Legends mode:

1) Neither building is listed under "Structures", though markets and mead halls are listed.

2) Neither structure is mentioned in the history for the town.

3) Neither structure is mentioned in entries for the humans who live there, no is anything mentioned about them becoming a barkeep.
