0008536: Undead Siege wanders - Raises indestructable Elk Bird Head - Undead fight with it endlessly
Have reclaimed fort near tower, undead siege cost the last one their lives.

Undead attack and stand around on the edge of the map, not advancing.

Wildlife or something goes near, they kill it.

Necromancer raises an "Elk Bird Head" which starts attacking the necromancer and undead (hard to tell, the siege has lasted for a very long time). The body part gets hurt, tendons are torn, but refuses to die.

They battle it out endlessly as the animated part cannot die. This is training the undead, and I think one might have reached mace lord status.
Waiting for an attack, undead mill about outside.

Necromancer raises body part(?) and it is unable to be destroyed.

The entire invasion of 80 undead is clustered around in a 3x3 square.

Oh, forgot to note this, but the simulator speed drops like a stone during this phase, probably because of the constant battling 80 undead are doing.

I just experienced this issue, and have attached an archive containing three saves to reproduce the scenario.

The first save is just prior to the undead siege, the second save is at the start of the siege, and the third save is about a month into the siege.

FPS drops from 100 to 10 as the besiegers engage in permanent battle with the head of an undead magpie.

Edit: This was in DF version 0.40.24
